Migori County Governor Zachary Obado has said that people from Migori County should not be blamed over the low number of BBI signatures collected According to a BBI signature collection cumulative final tally in Nyanza Region which collected the largest number of signatures totalling to 794, 315, Migori had 94, 872 signatures collected. This saw Migori become the Second last in Nyanza Region with Kisumu having the lead with the most collected signatures. While speaking at the burial of his mother who died on November 26, the governor said that his people were prepared and eager to sign the BBI signature forms but lacking enough forms barred a large number of people from expressing their support for BBI. Governor Obado said that even by Wednesday this week, people were still asking about the forms. He told those blaming him and his county for the low numbers that it was not their fault as people were prepared and came out in large numbers to support the reforms.
