One person has died and 46 others injuried after a commuter train was involved in an accident at Kenya Marble Quarry village commonly referred to as KMQ in Kajiado West. According to eye witnesses, the train derailed at 9am after approaching a steep stretch. The accident has been greatly attributed to vandalism of the railway line and poor visibility occasioned by heavy rainfall.
