Opposition leaders angered by President Ruto's Gen-Z apology

The opposition is tonight criticizing President William Ruto for what it describes as an insincere apology to Kenya’s youth at this year’s national prayer breakfast, following the atrocities inflicted upon them during the June 2024 Gen-Z-led protests. The leaders who spoke at Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s Tseikuru Residence in Kitui County say the head of state is accountable for the deaths and injuries reported as a result of police excesses.
