Over 67,000 taxpayers benefit from ongoing tax amnesty by KRA

Approximately 67,000 eligible taxpayers have benefited from the ongoing tax amnesty offer by the Kenya Revenue Authority. From the waivers, the taxman has generated approximately 15.5 billion shillings against the projected 30 billion target.The Kenya Revenue is calling on taxpayers who still owe the taxman penalties and interests to update their records by the end of the month to enjoy the amnesty offer. The taxman and its media partner, the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation, continued with the last leg of the tax services caravan in Makueni. The caravan toured Salama, Sultan Hamud, Emali, Makindu, Kibwezi and Mtito Andei, where residents turned up for sensitisation with KRA staff offering free return filing services
