The national assembly's finance committee led by Molo Mp Kuria Kimani, aims to initiate a process to amend the East African customs management act to increase the value of goods that travelers are allowed to bring into the country from $500. This is to reduce instances where Kenyan travelers have to pay duties on their items like those importing goods for business purposes.
