Parliament probes illegal kidney transplants in Eldoret hospitals

The National Assembly health committee has begun a probe into the kidney transplant scandal in Uasin Gishu County, with the hospitals linked to the illicit trade denying any wrongdoing. The committee that met at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, St. Luke’s Orthopedic and Trauma Hospital, and Oak Tree Center for kidney and chronic services today, is set to continue with the probe into the illegal kidney harvesting syndicate.
