- Senior parliamentary staff will now serve on contract basis after the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) scrapped off the permanent and pensionable system that has been used for years. The changes which take effect from March 1st, 2021 will see workers put pen to paper on 5 year contracts renewable based on performance. The Parliamentary Service Commission says the new system will help keep track of their strategic plan while at the same time accounting for every shilling paid by the taxpayer to finance the institution.
