The Presbyterian Church of East Africa Kitengela Parish has vowed to appeal a court decision that ordered it to vacate the land where the church sits within 60 days after a nine year court battle with export processing zone authority (EPZA). The head of the church Reverend Thegu Mutahi has appealed for calm among the over 2000 members and over 1000 pupils who attend school in the church compound saying they will appeal the judgment and also seek alternative means to resolve the dispute. EPZA moved to court in 2014 seeking to take over the land they acquired in 1991 after compensating the original owner.
