Five people have been arrested following an intense operation to flush out gangs from the lakeside city of Kisumu. In a joint security briefing on Wednesday, Nyanza regional commissioner Flora Mworoa said that a multilevel security committee has mapped out six gangs that have been terrorizing residents of Manyatta, Obunga and Nyalenda, with the insecurity crisis spreading across the city. She also revealed advanced investigations into the rising cases of livestock theft while calling on residents to work with local authorities to identify and report cases of insecurity
