Police in Embu recover stolen phones and other electronics

Police in Embu West have recovered mobile phones and other electronic devices following mounting complaints over a surge in muggings. The operation, prompted by public outcry, led to the arrest of a suspect who is currently in police custody and assisting with investigations. Embu West OCPD Vincent Kitili has urged residents who may have lost their phones to visit the Embu Police Station to identify their devices. Kitili said mugging incidents targeting locals have been on the rise in the area, and further indicated that preliminary investigations point to the involvement of some phone repair shops.
