Police investigate use of teargas canisters in political rallies

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen says police have launched investigations into the misuse of teargas canisters at political rallies. Speaking in Nanyuki after a high-level security meeting, Murkomen revealed that authorities suspect police equipment may have been diverted into civilian hands. He warned that anyone found culpable, including officers accused of colluding with civilians, will face the full force of the law.
