Police officer shoots dead 2 boda boda riders in Thika

Angry boda boda riders have torched a vehicle belonging to a police officer in Thika, outside Makongeni Police Station, after he allegedly shot dead two riders. The incident followed a confrontation in which the officer is said to have knocked down a boda boda rider and his passenger. When other riders questioned him, he allegedly opened fire, killing two of them. The enraged riders then set his vehicle ablaze. Police have since arrested the officer, who is being detained at Makongeni Police Station.
