The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) wants female officers to be given a 30,000 shillings maternity dress allowance for every pregnancy under the current uniform arrangement. Speaking during the presentation of the police reforms recommendation to the Police reforms taskforce, National police service commission chairman Eliud Kinuthia said the police uniform is not gender-responsive when it comes to female officers who are pregnant.
