The 2025 County Governance Performance Index by Politrack Africa has placed Kisii Governor Simba Arati as the best performing county governor in the country, earning a 65 percent approval rating. Governor Arati’s top ranking is credited to his investments in healthcare infrastructure, road development, agricultural support programmes, and enhanced revenue collection through digitised payment systems. The report combines a nationwide survey of over 13,000 registered voters across all 47 counties with fiscal data from the Office of the Controller of Budget.
