President Ruto announces change in NHIF contribution

Formal workers will now be compelled to pay two-point seven percent of their monthly earnings as new rates to the NHIF kitty from July this year. This was the shocker from President William Ruto as he moves to ensure what he terms an equitable contribution to the health insurance fund. But on another rider, the lowest paid workers will pay three hundred shillings as NHIF monthly contribution, up from five hundred shillings a month.
