President William Ruto has said that he is committed to eliminating the barriers imposed by visa requirements for Djiboutian residents traveling to Kenya. This, the head of state says will promote people to people interactions, trade and investment. The president also vowed to ensure improved labour coordination on labour migration by accelerating finalization of a comprehensive labour agreement between the two Countries. President Ruto is in Djibouti for a state visit hosted by Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh. He will later participate in the 14th IGAD ordinary summit of heads of state and government on the 12th of June 2023.
