President Ruto downplays Raila mass action call

Even opposition plans for public gatherings, the Kenya Kwanza administration led by President William Ruto has downplayed the threat. The Azimio leaders had termed the hearings by the justice and legal affairs committee as a travesty of justice blaming the government for targeting the four commissioners led by vice chair Julianna Cherera. The matter continued to dominate the political playing field as IEBC Vice Chairperson Julianna Cherera and the three other dissenting commissioners prepare to face the departmental committee on justice and legal affairs hearing their ouster bid on Monday and Tuesday.
