Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen has today been handed a one-year ultimatum to deal with the rising incidences of road carnage. Speaking at the launch of the national road safety action plan in Nairobi, President William Ruto put the CS on notice, saying that he will be held accountable should the trend in road accidents persist. The launch comes against the backdrop of worrying statistics which indicate 1,000 Kenyans have died on the roads in a span of four months.
