President Ruto says by-election wins show path to second term, dismisses opposition

President William Ruto says the governing party's victory in the Isiolo south and three ward by-elections in Embu and Kakamega counties is proof that he will resoundingly secure a second term. Ruto dismissed the united opposition saying they have shown themselves incapable of securing even a single seat in the last two rounds of by-elections. He spoke while inspecting construction work at the Bomas of Kenya.
