President William Ruto has affirmed Kenya’s commitment to green energy. Ruto reiterating that the world, particularly Africa must make efforts to reverse the effects of climate change while adapting to sustainable ways. The president while holding talks with the president of the 26th united nations climate change conference (cop26), Alok Sharma in state house Nairobi said green energy will be among the central concerns of his government the president said the crisis brought about by climate change poses fundamental questions for the economy as it affects public health and jobs, and its threats range from food security to national security. The president pledged to support the cop-27 international climate summit in Egypt this November by demanding delivery of the finance and technology needed by Africa to adapt to climate impacts.
