President William Ruto has urged the private sector to invest in sports federations

Speaking at state house Nairobi where he hosted chief executives of leading brands in various sectors of the economy to deliberate on the future of sports in the country, the head of state attributed the recent Harambee stars success in the chan tournament to both political and economic goodwill from state actors and Kenyan citizens. Football Kenya federation president Hussein Mohammed who was in attendance said most sporting leagues are struggling as a result of poor funding from both the government and private sector.
