President William Ruto launches Naivasha-Kisumu SGR expansion

President William Ruto has flagged off the extension of the standard gauge railway from Naivasha to Kisumu, marking the revival of a multi-billion-shilling project that had stalled for more than six years. The construction, being undertaken by China Communications Construction Company, is expected to pave the way for a seamless rail link to the Ugandan border and onward into the region.
