The government has re-affirmed its commitment to reforming the prisons service through the one prisoner one mattress, one blanket program in efforts to make life more bearable for inmates. Speaking during a familiarization tour in the Eastern region principal secretary correctional services Mary Muthoni said rehabilitation programs will be enhanced to make the inmates self-reliant after completing their sentence.
