Privatisation Bill Hearings

A joint sitting of the National Assembly’s finance and public debt committees has, for the second day, received views from the public over the proposed privatisation bill, which seeks to make it easier for the government to privatise state-owned enterprises. Among the key demands from presenters are to ensure that Kenya’s privatization process delivers jobs, protects vulnerable communities, and ensures inclusive ownership before any sale of state corporations can proceed.
