Production of pigeon peas in the continent is set to improve following the roll out of an improved seed variety in response to the changing weather patterns. The rollout is expected to enhance food security, build resilience of the crop and promote climate-smart agriculture. Tess Mutahi has details of the climate smart farming plan.
