The bodyguard of Youth Affairs and Sports Principal Secretary Fikirini Jacobs, Rashid Charo, has been released on a personal bond of KSh20,000 after investigators sought more time to complete their probe.
The Makadara Law Courts, presided over virtually by Resident Magistrate J. Mayiah, directed that the matter be mentioned on August 10.
During the proceedings, Charo's lawyers successfully applied for his release and the return of his personal belongings, including his firearm.
Charo, who was arrested last week and arraigned on July 2, is being investigated over the shooting of Cecil Ouma inside a vehicle associated with PS Fikirini Jacobs along Park Road in Nairobi.
