Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition leader Raila Odinga has dismissed claims that a handshake with President William Ruto is in the offing after he met with the Head of State over the weekend.
There were claims that the country might be staring at a Ruto-Raila handshake after the duo met in Nyandarua, Kasarani, and Nyayo stadiums.
He said all the meetings were by chance. "We were in Nyandarua, we went there in Njabini village for the funeral of late Field Marshal Mama Mukami Kimathi and we met there with (President) Ruto, his deputy, and his ministers. And of course, we shook hands. It was a chance meeting, we did not plan to meet there."
