Azimio Premier Raila Odinga has strongly opposed the proposals in the 2024 finance bill, on grounds that they lack transparency and fairness. In a statement to newsrooms, Odinga insists that the proposals in this bill are worse than those that led to the national protests last year. Odinga is now calling on members of parliament to critically scrutinize proposals that are not in favor of Kenyans, warning that he will not allow the hardships experienced by Kenyans due to the 2023 finance laws to continue into 2025.
