The Kenya Red Cross Society has signed a memorandum of understanding with the county government of Busia seeking to enhance disaster preparedness and response initiatives.Under the Memorandum of Understanding, the county officials and staff will receive training programs facilitated by the Red Cross Society to streamline coordination during emergencies for swift and effective response. The MOU is further expected to enhance the country's capacity to manage disasters and safeguard the lives and livelihoods of its residents
