Requiem mass held for slain priest Allois Cheruiyot ahead of burial

Religious and political leaders from the greater Rift Valley region have condemned the government’s continued laxity in addressing the persistent banditry menace that has plagued Kerio Valley for decades, leading to numerous deaths. Speaking during the memorial mass of the late Fr. Allois Cheruiyot Bett, the leaders singled out the Ministry of Interior and National Administration for failing to arrest any suspects nearly two weeks after the brutal killing. And as Kamau Mwangi now reports, the family of the late priest says it has forgiven his killers, ahead of his burial tomorrow.
