Six months since the government launched a special security operation in Marsabit County to disarm residents following rising cases of insecurity in the area, Calm is slowly returning to the affected areas in with hundreds of those displaced during the fighting moving back to their homes and businesses resuming their normal operations. The victims of the fighting pitting the Borana and Gabra communities now want the government fulfil its pledge to compensate them to help them rebuild their lives.
