The victims of the tragic Mai Mahiu flash floods have accused persons in government of intentionally frustrating efforts by various humanitarian organizations to help them re-settle. The survivors of the April 2024 incident that left at least 60 people dead, say attempts by various organizations to construct houses for the hardest-hit families have so far been thwarted on the basis of delayed assessment .
