Despite the government's effort to cushion ordinary Kenyans through programmes such as fertilizer subsidy, stabilisation of fuel prices, the effects of these interventions are yet to be fully felt by Kenyans. Kenyans' purchasing power continues to diminish as real wages continue to shrink, owing to high taxation.
