President William Ruto has defended his role as Patron of Nairobi Hospital, stating that officials implicated in the hospital’s management dispute and who were arrested and charged at the Milimani Law Courts on Monday will be removed from their positions. Speaking during the second day of his Western region tour in Cheptais, Mt. Elgon, and Chwele in Bungoma County, the Head of State vowed not to allow the hospital to be “held hostage” by individuals he described as fraudsters seeking to undermine its integrity and service delivery.
