Ruto launches Naivasha-Kisumu SGR extension with KSh500bn budget

President William Ruto has launched the construction of the Standard Gauge Railway from Naivasha to Malaba through Kisumu. The project, estimated to cost 500 billion shillings, is expected to take two years to complete. The President, who spoke at the launch ceremony in Emurtoto, Narok East, says the railway will significantly boost cargo transport and passenger movement to the west of the country, unlocking major economic growth.
