Ruto meets US House of Reps Speaker Mike Johnson, Senate leadership

President William Ruto is expected to meet US Congress leadership later this evening as he seeks to rally both houses to back Africa’s reform agenda in the financial architecture of multi-lateral lenders. Ruto who is already in Washington will meet House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson, Senate leadership led by Charles Shcumer and later address a black caucus at the Library of Congress. He will be formally received by his host US President Joe Biden on Thursday.
