Telco service provider Safaricom
has posted a 99.7 billion shillings profit for the full year ending March 2026.
The performance was underpinned by strong growth from the Kenyan business, which recorded a 10 percent rise in service revenue, translating to a 119.1 billion shillings profit.
However, the results were weighed down by the company’s Ethiopian operations, which, despite an increase in service revenue to 14.1 billion shillings, posted a 21.2 billion shillings loss.
Here is Jimmy Mbogoh with more on Safaricom’s performance.
