Seneta Okiya Omtata aongoza maandamano dhidi ya serikali kulaani utekaji nyara
Polisi mjini Nairobi, Kenya Jumatatu walilazimika kutumia mabomu ya kutoa machozi kutawanya waandamanaji waliokuwa wakilalamikia visa vya utekaji nyara vya wale wanaoonekana kuipinga serikali.
Waandamanaji hao wakiongozwa na Seneta Okiya Omtata baadhi ya viongozi hao walijifunga minyororo na kubeba mabango yaliyokashifu uongozi wa serikali ya Rais William Ruto kwa kuendeleza ukiukaji wa haki za kibinadamu.
Vuta nikuvute hiyo ilichukua zaidi ya saa nane kabla ya polisi kutumia nguvu kuwakamata viongozi hao.
Haya yanajiri siku chache baada ya Rais Ruto kuahidi angesitisha visa vya utekaji nyara.
Wiki iliyopita Tume ya Taifa ya Haki za Binadamu ya Kenya (KNCHR) ilisema takriban watu 82 wametekwa nyara tangu mwezi juni maandamano ya vijana yalipoanza.
Ripoti hiyo ilibaini utekaji nyara huo uliofanywa kisiri na kufikia sasa watu 29 hawajulikani walipo.
