Police in Nakuru have arrested seven suspects and recovered an AK-47 rifle following a shooting incident that left one police officer dead and two others nursing serious gunshot wounds. Nakuru County Commissioner Loyford Kibaara says the officer was killed during a dramatic shootout with armed criminals on Sunday in Bondeni area. The shootout occurred as police were pursuing a gang of armed criminals believed to be behind a spate of crime in the area.
