Shell accused of ignoring oil clean-up operation beset by fraud - BBC Africa
🇳🇬🛢️A BBC investigation has revealed allegations that Shell was aware of and ignored warnings of corruption and multiple failings within an operation to clean up oil spills at its facilities in Nigeria. The oil giant has previously said the clean up of major spills in Oganiland have been going well. But a whistleblower told the BBC the scheme was a 'scam', and that the firm was aware of repeated claims of fraud and corruption.
