Even as Kenya continues to lead the way towards a TB-free nation, significant concerns are rising about TB among children, with thousands of cases being reported in infants and children. This has seen Kenya pioneer the use of child-friendly tuberculosis medicines, starting October 1, 2024, to ensure the availability of doses and flavours suitable for children. Contrary to adult TB, chances of tb transmission from a child are significantly low compared to transmission from an adult.
