Sleeping Warrior stage of WRC Safari Rally cancelled due to heavy rains

The dreaded Sleeping Warrior stage of the WRC Safari Rally was cancelled five minutes before the start. The heavy rains pounding the country completely flooded the route, making it impassable for rescue teams to pass through. The rally will resume on Sunday with two stages, the last one being the Hells Gate 2. This is the Wolf Power stage where the top five drivers will get extra Super Sunday WRC points.
