Small-scale Millers in the Country have cautioned the government against implementing the proposed 16 percent VAT tax on bread. According to the chairman of the United Grain Millers Association (UGMA), an umbrella of small-scale millers in the country, Ken Nyaga, the move may prove counterproductive. He says the government must not go back on steps taken to cushion Kenyans against the effect of the rising cost of living.
