Smart Farm | Farmers in Machakos adopting beans with high yield

In a bid to counter cases of malnutrition, the government is encouraging the cultivation of bean varieties with high values of zinc and iron. Farmers in Machakos County are already warming up to these types of beans which also have other advantages which include high yields and shorter maturity periods.
