Small business owners from the Western region have called for the adoption of an inclusive pension, to onboard the informal sector. Speaking at a financial literacy training in Kisumu, business owners from the region decried the lack of information on savings and investments specifically tailored towards young people out of formal employment. Liaison group head of pension Michael Mitau pointed the need for insurance brokers to develop products targetting otherwise marginalized groups, in order to ensure more people plan on finances post retirement.
