The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has been barred from gazetting the names of Mombasa gubernatorial candidates and printing the ballot papers until a case in which Mike Sonko is challenging his omission is heard and determined. The three judge bench constituted by the Chief Justice has also barred the Wiper Democratic Movement from replace Sonko as its gubernatorial candidate.
