The Music Copyright Society of Kenya, Performance Rights Society of Kenya, and the Kenya Association of Music Producers have called for compliance from music distributors in paying their license fees to ensure proper remuneration of artists. Addressing the media, the music bodies urged the same broadcasters and public service vehicles who are the biggest music distributors to stick to the 30 -70% rule where they play 30% foreign content and 70 % local content. Further, MCSK will commence the first distribution of royalties to its 16000 members on the 25th of January all through to the end of March.
