Tourism stakeholders at the coast are upbeat about 2024 saying despite the harsh economic times the sector saw a 42% increase in 2023 largely boosted by the December festive season during which many hotels were fully booked. The stakeholders have welcomed the move to abolish visa requirements saying it will help in growing the foreign tourists from the current 25%.
