State lodges’ land grabbed, some recovered — Metito

State House Comptroller Katoo Ole Metito has revealed that land belonging to most state houses and lodges has fallen into the hands of land grabbers. Appearing before the national assembly committee on administration and internal security, Katoo told the lawmakers that they have recovered 100 acres in kakamega with their next focus being Nakuru and Kisumu. Legislators also raised concerns over the construction of multi-storey buildings next to state houses and state lodges, which they say pose a security threat.
