Eldoret Anglican Church Bishop Dr Christopher Ruto has urged politicians to stop intimidating iebc officials but instead allow them to complete the verification process smoothly without a lot of disturbance and unnecessary destruction.
Speaking after leading the 32nd memorial service of the first Bishop of the Anglican Church Diocese of Eldoret the late Bishop Alexander Muge, Bishop Ruto asked politicians to stop interfering with the ongoing verification exercise at the Bomas of Kenya and wait for the results to be announced by IEBC which the mandated body for the entire exercise.
He said Kenya had travelled a long route and many people sacrificed their lives for the freedom being enjoyed today and the freedom to do elections without threats and nobody should be allowed to scuttle the exercise.
He commended the IEBC and Kenyans for conducting a free and fair election without violence and appealed to both sides of the political divide to accept the results that will be announced for a united Kenya.
